An informed decision

When Jesus HEARD that John has been PUT IN PRISON, He DEPARTED to Galilee!

I believe that the information our Lord Jesus Christ received about John's imprisonment informed His decision to depart to Galilee.

The imprisonment of John the Baptist must have sent a negative signal to the Lord that He could be the next target of Herod.

John was imprisoned and executed by Herod for boldly preaching against his adulterous marriage. John spoke against Herod because he married his brother's wife, Herodias.

Remember at one time the pharisees revealed to Jesus Herod's intention to kill Him, Jesus referred to Herod  as a fox:

Luke 13:31-32 (NIV)

At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you.”  32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’
