The first settlers in the land of canaan were the sons of ham...the father of the black people of the earth!

 Its a clear truth found in the book of Genesis. 

The sons of ham were the first settlers of the land of canaan long before Isreal possessed the land.

However the God of heaven and earth gave the land to His covenant friend Abraham and His descendant Isreal after him!
