For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.(1 corinthians 14:2)

 Three Points to Remember in 1 Corinthians 14:2 

1) When we speak in tongues we do not speak to men but we speak to God!

"For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God:"

 2) Natural man does not understand speaking in tongues

"...for no man understandeth him; "

 3) When we speak in tongues, in our spirits we speak mysteries to God

"... howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries"

 Defining what a Mystery is

 A Mystery is a secret!

 Therefore we speak divine secrets to God when we speak in tongues!

 Tongues-Speaking the Wisdom of God in divine secrets or (mysteries)

 Remember that when we speak in tongues, in the light of 1 corinthians 14:2, We speak mysteries  or (divine secrets)  to God:

"... howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries"(1 corinthians 14:2c)

 Apostle Paul said in 1 corinthians 2:7 that we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery or divine secrets:

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery or divine secrets, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,(1 Corinthians 2:7).

 Since we speak mysteries or divine secrets to God when we speak in tongues,

we can therefore confidently say that as we speak in tongues,

we are speaking the wisdom of God in mysteries or divine secrets!

In other words, we speak the wisdom of God when we speak in tongues!

 The wisdom of God we speak in a mystery or divine secrets as we speak in tongues is the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory!

When we speak in tongues, we speak back to God His Wisdom in Divine secrets and the Holy Spirit enlightens our minds to comprehend the wisdm of God!
