Romans 5:5 (King James Version)

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

 

Notice that the love of God ( God's divine love nature) is shed abroad the heart or (spirit) of the believer by the Holy-Spirit.

 

... the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. ( Romans 5:5b).

 

Here is a thought I want you to ponder over from the following scriptures::

 

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,...

(Jude 20 King James Version)

 

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; ...

(1 Corinthians 14:4 King James Version )

 

Speaking in tongues edifies or builds up the spirit man according to Jude 20 and 1 Corinthians 14:4 above.

It becomes obvious then that as we speak in tongues everything within our spirit man is improved or built up as well!

 

Faith and love reside within our spirits. These are forces within our recreated spirits!

 

In 1 Thessalonians 5:8, I want you to notice that faith and love covers our spirit man as a breastplate:

 

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.(1 Thessalonians 5:8 King James Version )

 

Speaking in tongues will have a great impact on our faith and love walk as much as it has on our spirit man!

 

When we speak in tongues, we keep ourselves within the borders of God's agape love in our love walk towards others!

 

A closer look at Jude 20,21 shows that when we speak in tongues, we build up our spirit-man in our faith on God's Word and keep him  walking in the realm of God's love:

 

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

(Jude 20,21).
