God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image,

after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea,

the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth,

and over everything that creeps upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26 Amplified Bible)

 

In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion

and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day

of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him],

because as He is, so are we in this world. (1 John 4:17 Amplifies Bible)

 

My image is a reflection or picture of me. 

Likewise God's image is also the reflection or picture of God!

 

If man was made in God's image, then man is a reflection or picture of God!

 

We are made to look like God...to resemble God!

 

We are made to resemble Christ!
